BLOOMINGTON – Indiana football coach Curt Cignetti doesn’t anticipate adding any names to the team’s injury report for the CFP title game on Jan. 19.

The No. 1 Hoosiers (15-0) have a handful of players out for the season but didn’t suffer any additional injuries in a 56-22 win over Oregon.

“We came out pretty good,” Cignetti said Monday, Jan. 12. “Everybody who played in the last game will play in this game.”

The biggest question mark coming out of the Peach Bowl was the status of defensive end Mikail Kamara. He twice had to be helped off the field by the team’s training staff and moved gingerly towards the sideline.

Indiana’s options without Kamara were to move defensive tackle Mario Landino outside or turn to true freshman and walk-ons.

Cignetti’s statement made it clear that Kamara will be available to play against the No. 10 Hurricanes (13-2). Kamara had 30 tackles with seven tackles for loss and a team-high 57 quarterback pressures.

Indiana had seven players listed as out for the season for the CFP semifinals and two of those (Amariyun Knighten and Andrew DePaepe) were on the list after leaving the team as outgoing transfers. The list includes defensive linemen Kellan Wyatt and Stephen Daley, safety Bryson Bonds and running back Lee Beebe Jr.

Brendan Franke, the team’s starting placekicker, was listed as doubtful throughout the week and missed the game after being designated a game time decision. He hasn’t played since suffering a lower-body injury in a win over UCLA on Oct. 25.
