Indiana lands commitment from 2027 ATH Monsanna Torbert Jr.

Indiana football has added onto next season’s recruiting class throughout its run through the College Football Playoff.

Monsanna Torbert Jr., an athlete out of Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, committed to join the Hoosiers on Sunday, two days after No. 1-seed Indiana beat No. 5-seed Oregon in the Peach Bowl to advance to the National Championship Game. He’s rated as a four star in the class of 2027, ranking as the 17th highest-rated athlete and 327th highest-rated prospect overall per the Rivals Industry Ranking. He chose the Hoosiers over offers from Kentucky and Iowa, among others.

He’s one of four members of Indiana’s incoming recruiting class in 2027 and one of three to commit on Sunday, joining wide receiver Ja’Hyde Brown and safety Garyon Hobbs. Indiana has made the most of its historic run through the regular season and wins in the Big Ten Championship, Rose Bowl and Peach Bowl to stand out in the recruiting scene.
