Oklahoma secured a commitment from 2027 three-star running back Jaxsen Stokes on Friday.

The standout out of Sierra Canyon High School in Chatsworth, California, picked the Sooners over Notre Dame, Oregon and Tennessee.

"OU DNA, I'm all in," Stokes wrote on X of his announcement.

Stokes is the sixth commit in Sooners coach Brent Venables' 2027 recruiting class. The 5-foot-10, 176-pound prospect is OU's fifth offensive pledge. Stokes now joins five-star offensive tackle Cooper Hackett, four-star offensive tackle Kaeden Penny, four-star receiver Demare Dezeurn, four-star cornerback Mikhail McCreary and three-star offensive tackle Luke Wilson.

Stokes has rushed for 598 yards and 12 touchdowns his season at Sierra Canyon.

He watched the Sooners during back-to-back weekend visits. First, against Ole Miss in Norman and then at Tennessee in Knoxville.

Stokes also held offers from Arizona State, Cal, Kansas, Penn State, Stanford, UCLA, USC and others.

No. 12 OU (7-2, 3-2 SEC) is idle this week before traveling to face No. 4 Alabama next Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
