Oregon football loses Kenyon Sadiq to NFL. How do Ducks look at TE?

Kenyon Sadiq finished a record-setting season in Oregon's Peach Bowl loss to Indiana on Jan. 9. Four days later, he is reportedly off to the NFL.

The junior tight end is entering the NFL draft, according to Pete Thamel, the senior college football reporter for ESPN.

The move was expected from the 6-foot-3, 245-pound second-team All-American, who had one of the best seasons ever by a Ducks tight end.

His 51 receptions are a single-season best for a tight end, his 560 receiving yards are third most in a single season, and his eight touchdown grabs are tied with Tim Day (2004) for second most in a season. Sadiq led the Ducks in receptions, receiving yards and TD catches this past season and he finished his Oregon career with 80 catches for 892 yards and 11 touchdowns.

ESPN's Mel Kiper has Sadiq as the top tight end prospect in the 2026 NFL draft and the No. 10 player overall.

Oregon has prepared itself well for Sadiq's departure.

Jamari Johnson, a 6-5, 257-pound junior, was a top target who showed big-play ability in 2025. Johnson finished with 35 catches for 510 yards and three touchdowns. He had 23 catches for 377 yards and two TDs in the final seven games and had touchdown catches against James Madison and Indiana in the College Football Playoffs.

The Ducks also signed Penn State transfer Andrew Olesh — a 2025 five-star recruit — earlier this week and already have 2026 five-star recruit Kendre Harrison on campus and enrolled in school.
