LSU football added another offensive piece to its 2026 transfer portal class on Tuesday, earning a commitment from former Wisconsin RB Dilin Jones.
For LSU, it's the third transfer running back commitment of the portal period.
According to On3's Transfer Portal Rankings, Jones has a transfer rating of 87. He's the No. 623-overall ranked transfer and the No. 68-ranked running back.
In two years with the Badgers, Jones ran 93 times for 388 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 5.5 yards per carry as a freshman in 2024 and 3.9 yards per run in 2025.
Jones displayed potential this fall, averaging 2.94 yards per run after contact, recording six runs of 10+ yards.
Jones made seven starts in 2025. His best outing, given the opponent, was a 16 carry, 69 yard performance vs. a staunch Iowa defense. Jones ran 14 times for 73 yards in the season opener vs. Miami (Ohio).
Jones didn't make a huge impact as a receiver, catching nine passes for 21 yards in 2025.
Running back was a need for LSU when head coach Lane Kiffin took over the program, but the room is well-positioned now. The Tigers secured the return of Harlem Berry and convinced Caden Durham to withdraw from the portal along with the addition of three transfers.
