Dylan Raiola Dealt Concerning News on Wednesday

A weak 2026 quarterback class got weaker on Wednesday.

Oregon quarterback Dante Mooreannounced he would return to the school for the 2026 season. He was deciding between that and declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft in April.

Moore led Oregon to the College Football Playoff semifinals this season before losing to Indiana 56-22. Moore finished that game with 285 yards through the air, two touchdowns, and an interception. He finished the season with 3,565 yards through the air, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

His return means that he starts once again next season, even though Oregon just landed a commitment from former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola. Raiola has an NIL valuation of $2 million, per On3, and he would have been the starter if Moore had declared for the draft.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel discussed the Raiola situation on the “College GameDay Podcast” a few days ago and pondered if he would do what Moore did.

“Would he do what Dante Moore did? Former top recruit, has his struggles, has his moments, sits for a year, learns at Oregon, and then goes on and shines as Dante Moore did,” Thamel said. “That is probably how Oregon handles that.”

Raiola finished the 2025 season with 2,000 yards through the air, 18 touchdowns, and six interceptions. He finished the 2024 season with 2,819 yards through the air, 13 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
