Jacksonville State football announced that Adam Ross is rejoining the program as offensive line coach.
The former starting lineman for the Gamecocks had spent the past two seasons at Murray State as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach. The 2002 Jax State alum spent 11 years on the Jax State staff.
Ross has previously worked in roles from student assistant to offensive line coach in 2011. He helped them win three OVC titles and 11 lineman earned all-conference honors.
Ross spent two seasons at West Alabama and later UT-Chattanooga before heading to Richmond where he was offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
The Gamecocks went 9-5 in 2025 and won the Salute to Veterans Bowl with a 17-13 victory over Troy. It is the second change to the offensive staff after Taylor Housewright was promoted to be offensive coordinator.
Ross replaces Rick Trickett, who was the offensive coordinator with the Gamecocks for four seasons under Charles Kelly and Rich Rodriguez. Trickett rejoined Rodriguez at West Virginia.
