FSU football twins Darryll, Mandrell Desir returning to Seminoles

Florida State football freshman twin defensive line duo Darryll and Mandrell Desir have signed a deal to return to the Seminoles.

The twins initially entered the transfer portal earlier this month, but have since reversed course and withdrawn their names from the portal, a day before the portal closes.

Both FSU and the twins spent the last week negotiating a new deal for them to return, and while the Desir twins officially entered the portal on Wednesday, they are now set to be back in Tallahassee for the 2026 season.

The duo were both breakout stars for the Seminoles in their freshman campaign, with Mandrell earning freshman All-American honors from On3 and the Football Writers Association of America.

Mandrell posted 30 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks while appearing in all 12 of the Seminoles’ games this season. Darryll was productive with 23 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack in 12 appearances.
