Former Nebraska quarterback Marcos Davila committed to Abilene Christian. The announcement was made on social media earlier this week.
It’s been quite a journey for Davila. He originally signed with Purdue as a freshman in 2024 and redshirted. He came to Nebraska in 2025 and appeared in two games last year against Akron and Houston Christian.
Davila recorded no stats in either of his appearances. He officially entered the portal on December 22.
The former Husker was a talented high school quarterback, rated a four-star recruit and considered one of the top quarterbacks nationally in the 2024 class. He threw for over 9,000 career passing yards and 93 touchdown passes at Midland Legacy High School in Texas.
Now, he seeks a fresh start in his college career. This could be an opportunity for him to play at a high level in his home state.
