PITTSBURGH – Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi made the addition of Brent Davis as tight ends coach official.
"Brent's experience and knowledge extend far beyond the tight ends room," Narduzzi said. "His understanding of the offensive side of the ball is something that's going to help maximize how we approach both the run and the pass, especially with our tight ends, and I'm looking forward to getting started working with him."
Davis previously served as Virginia Tech's tight ends coach (2025), co-offensive line coach (2024) and offensive analyst (2023). During that span, the Hokies consistently ranked among the ACC's top rushing offenses, including a program-record 362 rushing yards in a Military Bowl win over Tulane.
Davis spent nine seasons as offensive coordinator at Army, where the Black Knights ranked among the nation's elite rushing teams. Army produced seven top-five rushing offenses during his tenure, led the nation in 2017 and finished in the top three nationally five times. The Black Knights posted multiple nine-win seasons and earned five bowl appearances.
Prior to Army, Davis was offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Georgia Southern, helping the Eagles reach three national semifinals at the Football Championship Subdivision level and lead the nation in rushing offense in both 2011 and 2012. He also served as offensive coordinator at Virginia Military Institute, where his teams led the nation in rushing twice.
