LSU football made another transfer portal splash on Friday, signing former Ohio State safety Faheem Delane, according to On3's Hayes Fawcett. The talented DB committed to LSU after spending just one season at Ohio State.
The brother of former LSU safety Mansoor Delane, Faheem is the third defensive back to commit to the Tigers out of the transfer portal. Treylan James and Ty Benefield signed earlier in the window.
Delane played in 13 games for the Buckeyes as a true freshman and logged 81 defensive snaps, some of which came in the College Football Playoffs against Indiana. The former four-star prospect finished with 12 tackles and one tackle for loss.

LSU returns starting safeties with Tamarcus Cooley and Dashawn Spears but needs to build depth with the loss of AJ Haulcy. Delane brings speed and size to the room and could be a candidate for snaps at the STAR position in defensive coordinator Blake Baker's system.
