Former Texas offensive tackle Nick Brooks has officially committed to Alabama, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.
The 6’8”, 345 pound tackle is a massive pick up for the Tide, as Brooks is an extremely talented player with tons of untapped potential. A Georgia native, Brooks appeared in three games for the Longhorns last season and was able to hold his own despite being a true freshman. Brooks will more than likely be a candidate to start on the Crimson Tide’s offensive line to begin the 2026 campaign, as Alabama adds yet another essential depth piece to a crucial area on offense.
A former four-star recruit, Brooks was ranked as the No. 25 offensive tackle and the No. 239 overall player from the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The former Longhorn will instantly add a major boost to Alabama’s offense next season, as the Tide have lost numerous offensive linemen to both the NFL draft and transfer portal in recent weeks.
Alabama has added a multitude of playmakers on both sides of the football this offseason, as Brooks officially finds himself as the newest member of the Tide’s offensive line.
