A Spartans football transfer linebacker is heading to the other side of the Paul Bunyan rivalry.

Michigan State linebacker Aisea Moa will reportedly transfer to Michigan, according to Blair Angulo. The news of Moa's transfer to the Wolverines was reported on Saturday morning.

Moa, who came to Michigan State in 2025 as a transfer from BYU, played 180 snaps in 11 games for the Spartans this season. He recorded 12 tackles and a tackle for loss for the Spartans this season. He will have one more year of eligibility remaining.

Moa has ties to the new Michigan coaching staff, including head coach Kyle Whittingham. His brother, wide receiver Salesi Moa, also committed to Michigan via the transfer portal this week, so it ultimately seems like a family reunion down the road at the Spartans' top rival.
