MSU football joins other power programs in offering 3-star DL prospect

Michigan State football has joined a number of Big Ten teams in offering a high-level defensive lineman from Illinois.

Ohimai Ozolua of Chicago announced on Friday that he's received an offer from the Spartans. Ozolua posted about his offer from the Spartans on his social media X account.

Ozolua is a high-end three-star defensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports. He holds a recruiting rating of 89 and is ranked as the No. 41 defensive lineman in 247Sports' composite rankings for the class. He is also listed as the No. 11 player from Illinois and No. 370 overall prospect in the class.

Michigan State is one of more than 10 schools to offer Ozolua, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, Purdue and Tennessee.
