Can Indiana and Miami players still enter the transfer portal?

The transfer portal circus in college football has (mostly) slowed down.
The portal window officially closed on Friday, meaning that players are no longer permitted to enter. However, players who entered ahead of Friday's deadline are under no timetable to sign with their new schools.
Still, there could be some more transfer chaos in the coming days, depending on what players for the two teams squaring off in Monday night's national championship game choose to do.
Players for Indiana and Miami didn't have to abide by the normal transfer portal window, which ran from Jan. 2-16. Per NCAA rules, players on the two teams competing in the national championship have an additional five-day window, which begins on Tuesday and runs through Saturday.
It's unclear how many players will ultimately choose to take advantage of this rule, as both teams have already seen some portal losses despite still playing for a championship, with Indiana losing 10 players and Miami losing eight so far.
Still, players who want a change of scenery in 2026 but also wish to see through the 2025 campaign with their team were not required to miss out on the chance to play in Monday's CFP national title game.
