LSU football added another running back to its transfer portal class, signing former UCF RB Stacy Gage.
Gage marks LSU's 38th transfer of the cycle. According to 247Sports, LSU's portal class is the best in the nation, sitting ahead of Ole Miss and Texas at No. 2 and No. 3.
On3 ranks Gage as the No. 114 transfer running back and the No. 1132-ranked transfer overall. Gage was a sophomore in 20205 and was originally signed with UCF as a three-star out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Gage carried the ball 13 times for 63 yards and a touchdown in 2024. He didn't see the field on offense in 2024.
LSU's running back room is in a much better spot than it was when the transfer portal opened. The Tigers re-signed rising star Harlem Berry and convinced Caden Durham to withdraw from the portal.
The Tigers also added transfer running backs Dilin Jones and Rod Gainey.

Berry and Durham project to get the bulk of the carries in 2026, but LSU is betting on one of these depth pieces, like Gage, finding a way to contribute, too.
