Another Spartans defensive starter is heading to a Big 12 school out west.
Michigan State transfer cornerback Chance Rucker has reportedly committed to Arizona State, according to Chris Karpman of 247Sports. Rucker will join fellow Spartans teammate defensive lineman Jalen Thompson in transferring to Arizona State.
Rucker was a breakout performer in 2023, seeing substantial playing time as a true freshman. Unfortunately, the next two seasons were derailed by injuries, appearing in nine games over the last two seasons. He ended his Spartans career with 31 tackles and an interception.
Rucker will have two years of eligibility remaining.
