Although this year's College Football Playoff National Championship is being played at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, the crowd isn't actually on the Hurricanes' side.
It's been reported that Monday's get-in price for the Miami-Indiana game has hovered anywhere between $3,500 and $4,500. That's not a huge surprise considering countless Hoosiers fans have been waiting to see their team on the biggest stage possible.
“This year’s national championship market is behaving much more like some of the Super Bowls we’ve tracked and less like a typical college football final,” said Chris Leyden, the director of marketing for SeatGeek. “It’s a perfect storm of demand — a local team playing at home paired with a massive, national fan base traveling in.”
Miami fans didn't have to travel very far to attend tonight's game, and yet, there's a sea of red in the crowd at Hard Rock Stadium.
According to Darren Rovell, the Hoosiers have a "70/30 percent edge" when it comes to the crowd advantage. He shared a few photos of Indiana fans out in full force.

Who has the edge?
Indiana came into Monday night's game as a 7.5-point favorite. Most analysts have been predicting a victory for the Big Ten powerhouse, but head coach Curt Cignetti has done a great job keeping his players levelheaded amid all the hype.
"I think leading up to this game, there's been a lot of pro Indiana hype, a lot of rat poison out there," Cignetti said, via Indiana Hoosiers on SI. "I happened to see Holly Rowe's thing on social media this morning about our guys hugging each other at the end of practice. It is a close team. I've witnessed quite a bit of sentimentalism throughout the week from some of our seniors who we've been with quite a long time."
We'll see if Indiana takes care of business and finishes the season with a perfect 16-0 record.
