Clemson football on Monday flipped a JUCO defensive line commitment from a Big Ten school.
The Tigers flipped Andy Burburija from Iowa Western Community College. The 6-foot-2, 295-pound lineman had previously committed to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Burburija had committed to the Huskers on Jan. 11 after previously decommitting from Kansas State in December.
Burburija played in 25 games at Iowa Western and made 78 total tackles (35 solo), 27.5 tackles for loss and 14 sacks across his two seasons there. As a first team All-American this past season, he had 45 tackles (22 solo), 18.5 tackles for loss and 11 sacks in 12 games.
247Sports ranked him as the No. 14 overall JUCO prospect in its 2026 rankings and the No. 4 defensive lineman. Rivals.com ranked Burburija the No. 61 overall prospect and the No. 10 defensive lineman in its 2026 JUCO rankings.
Burburija is set to join a Clemson defense that added tackles Markus Strong from the Oklahoma Sooners and Kourtney Kelly from West Georgia in the transfer portal, which closed on Jan. 16.
Clemson finished with 10 transfer portal commitments in its 2026 class, the highest number under coach Dabo Swinney.
