Ex-Ohio State OL Zen Michalski earns 2nd straight title with Indiana

Though Ohio State did not play in the College Football Playoff title game, one former Buckeye still won back-to-back national championships.

With No. 1 Indiana‘s 27-21 victory over No. 10 Miami on Jan. 19, Hoosiers offensive lineman Zen Michalski earned another ring, having won a year prior when Ohio State beat Notre Dame in the 2025 game.

A redshirt senior, Michalski started five games and appeared in all 16 games during the Hoosiers’ undefeated run, including the championship game. He appeared at both left and right tackle.

With Ohio State, Michalski saw action in seven games and started once against Nebraska during the 2024-25 season. In that game, he was stepping in for left tackle Josh Simmons, who went down with a season-ending knee injury during the previous game against Oregon. Late in the fourth quarter against Nebraska, Michalski was carted off with an injury and did not appear the rest of the season.

Ohio State offensive lineman Zen Michalski competes in the 2024 spring game at Ohio Stadium.

Michalski, a Floyds Knobb, Indiana native, transferred to Indiana on Jan. 3, 2025.
