How Kansas football’s Lance Leipold voted in final US LBM Coaches Poll

LAWRENCE — Kansas football coach Lance Leipold’s final ballot in the US LBM Coaches Poll came out Tuesday, after Indiana captured the national title on Monday.
Leipold placed IU at No. 1, with runner-up Miami (Fla.) at No. 2. The rest of his top five included Mississippi at No. 3, Oregon at No. 4 and Ohio State at No. 5. When it came to the Big 12 Conference, he included Texas Tech at No. 7, Brigham Young at No. 9, Utah at No. 14, Houston at No. 19 and TCU at No. 24.
KU is coming off of a 5-7 season, which saw its regular season come to an end with a loss at home against Utah. The Jayhawks also lost on the road against Texas Tech. They did not play against either BYU or Houston.
