While no one will mistake it for “The Game,” Ohio State football vs. Indiana football has become a high-profile matchup. The two schools faced off in Ohio Stadium last season in a top-five matchup with the Buckeyes getting the win. Then, in the Big Ten Championship this season, the Hoosiers got revenge in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 heavyweight bout. Indiana and Ohio State represent the last two national champions in college football.

With the 2025 season behind us, it’s time to start looking forward. The Big Ten will announce the full conference schedule on January 27, but until then, fans can start making plans for a rematch in Bloomington. It was shared today that the Hoosiers will host the Buckeyes on October 17. Game time has not been announced, but prices for hotels are already on the rise.

Will Curt Cignetti be able to sustain the success he’s built at IU? History suggests the answer is yes, but only time will tell. One thing is for certain: tickets won’t be as easy to come by as they have been in the past, so if you plan to attend, start saving now.

Ohio State will open the season on September 5 at home against Ball State before traveling to Austin the following week to face Texas and one final tune-up against Kent State. The Buckeyes will face other Big Ten foes, Illinois, Maryland, Northwestern, Oregon, and Michigan at home, with road trips to Iowa, Nebraska, and USC.
