NC State makes four more portal additions

The portal work continues for NC State, which made additions to both sides of the ball over the last five days. Maybe the most impactful pickup of the bunch is former App State wide receiver Davion Dozier, who had 20 catches for 448 yards and five touchdowns in nine games last season.

Dozier’s size and stat line are similar to Tyran Warren’s, giving State’s offense a couple of guys who averaged a big play for every catch in 2025. Dozier has two years of eligibility remaining.

NC State also added tight end Vander Ploog, a former four-star prospect who opted to leave Oregon after not seeing the field as a freshman in 2025.

On the defensive side, State added former Penn State reserve linebacker Dakaari Nelson, who played sparingly in State College. The Pack also picked up ex-Marshall defensive tackle KaTron Evans, who had 12 tackles, including 1.5 TFL, in 2025.

This should pretty much do it for State’s portal efforts, with the Pack likely turning to the junior college ranks to fill remaining holes.
