OXFORD — Ole Miss football earned enough votes to finish No. 3 in the final US LBM Coaches Poll, but two coaches were below consensus on the Rebels.

The Rebels went 13-2 in 2025 with a Sugar Bowl win and Fiesta Bowl loss to Miami in the CFP semifinals. It marked one of the best seasons in program history.

Most of the 62 coaches who submitted ballots had the Rebels at No. 3, with a fair amount putting Ole Miss at No. 4 behind Oregon and the two teams that played in the national championship game.

Nebraksa coach Matt Rule and Air Force coach Troy Calhoun were the only coaches to vote the Rebels No. 6.

Rule voted Indiana No. 1, Miami No. 2, Ohio State No. 3, Oregon No. 4, Georgia No. 5 in front of the Rebels.

Calhoun voted Indiana No. 1, Georgia No. 2, Ohio State No. 3, Oregon No. 4, Miami No. 5 ahead of Ole Miss.

Where Kirby Smart, Curt Cignetti voted Ole Miss football in final polls

Georgia coach Kirby Smart voted the Rebels at No. 3 behind Indiana and Miami.

That is the order Oregon coach Dan Lanning, Notre Dane coach Marcus Freeman and Ohio State’s Ryan Day voted.

Indiana coach Curt Cignetti voted Indiana No. 1, Miami No. 2, Oregon No. 3 and Ole Miss No. 4.
