LSU football transfer portal target Jordan Seaton reveals commitment

It's official. LSU football will land the transfer portal's best offensive lineman per a report from Hayes Fawcett on Friday. Jordan Seaton, after a long recruiting process, chose to join Lane Kiffin's first roster in Baton Rouge.

Seaton made visits to Mississippi State and Miami, and Oregon made a push too. With spring enrollment deadlines coming this week, Seaton made a decision.

The five-star tackle was a two-year starter at Colorado under head coach Deion Sanders. Seaton was a contributor from the moment he stepped on campus, competing in a power conference. Rivals' Industry Rankings say he's the No. 5 player in the transfer class.

Coming out of high school at IMG Academy, the Washington D.C. native was the top offensive tackle in the 2024 recruiting class. He was ranked No. 5 in Florida and No. 18 nationally.

Seaton's commitment puts a bow on a successful first transfer portal window for Kiffin and company. LSU's transfer class is the best in the country, according to 247Sports, and Seaton is the headlining piece, along with Arizona State transfer QB Sam Leavitt.

Offensive line was a priority for LSU after the position struggled in 2025. Along with the struggles, most of the experienced linemen on LSU's roster hit the portal. LSU already signed a handful of reinforcements in the trenches, but Seaton is the best of the bunch.

With Seaton, LSU gets a bonafied starter at right tackle. The floor of LSU's offensive line will be immediately raised upon Seaton's arrival. With the talent accumulating in Baton Rouge, the Tigers could contend for the CFP in Kiffin's first year.
