Ohio State football coach Ryan Day's son RJ breaks passing yards record for DeSales

DeSales junior quarterback RJ Day, son of Ohio State football coach Ryan Day, broke an unofficial program single-game passing record for the Stallions, racking up 482 passing yards in a 33-29 playoff win vs. Ashland on Nov. 7.
With the victory, DeSales advances to the Region 7 semifinal in the OHSAA Division II playoffs. DeSales will face Massillon Washington on Nov. 14.
Day threw the game-winning touchdown to tight end Jordan Karhoff, a four-star Ohio State recruiting target in the class of 2027.

RJ Day has been the starting quarterback for DeSales since 2023. This season, the Stallions went 9-2 and earned a first-round bye as the No. 2 seed in the Region 7 playoff bracket.
