Former Stanford quarterback Elijah Brown has committed to Washington, via the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Brown has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

In the 2025 campaign, Brown made six appearances, including three starts in Stanford’s final three games of the season. Brown completed 58.3% of his pass attempts for 829 yards and four touchdowns, while throwing two interceptions.

As a true freshman in 2024, Brown only played in three games before ultimately redshirting. In his limited action, he tallied 273 passing yards and three touchdowns, compared two interceptions.

Elijah Brown played high school football at Mater Dei (CA), where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 256 overall player and No. 18 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting cycle, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings.

Now, Brown will look to reach new heights at Washington. He joins several other notable transfers, including EDGE Logan George and cornerback Emmanuel Karnley.

Brown is expected to be Demond Wiliams’ backup next season. Williams initially entered the transfer portal this offseason, but announced he’d be returning after Washington threatened legal action.

“After thoughtful reflection with my family, I am excited to announce that I will continue my football journey at the University of Washington,” Williams wrote. “I am deeply grateful to my coaches, teammates, and everyone in the program for fostering an environment where I can thrive both as an athlete and as an individual. I am fully committed and focused on contributing to what we are building.

“Additionally, I apologize that the timing of these events coincided with the celebration of life for Mia Hamant, a beloved member of our University community. I never intended to call attention away from such an important moment. I am excited to reunite with my teammates and to lead the University of Washington to success in the 2026 season and beyond.”

Williams led the Huskies to a 9-4 record this past season. He completed 69.5% of his pass attempts for 3,065 yards and 25 touchdowns, compared to just eight interceptions. Next season will be head coach Jedd Fisch’s third at the helm of the Huskies.
