Penn State football fans know disappointment and heartbreak all too well.
The Nittany Lions looked on the verge of upsetting No. 2 Indiana at Beaver Stadium in University Park, Pennsylvania, when heartbreak struck again for Penn State.
Trailing 24-20 with 36 seconds left, Heisman Trophy favorite Fernando Mendoza hit Omar Cooper Jr. for the game-winning 7-yard reception. Cooper made an unbelievable catch and dragged his foot at the back of the end zone to secure the win.

Blowing this lead late is the worst tragedy in Penn State football history. I can't even think of a close second.

You can take James Franklin out of State College, but you can't take the bad game management out of Penn State.
