It was no secret that the Oregon Ducks had a tremendous 2026 recruiting cycle, ranking within the top five for every site. That ranking took a bit of a hit when four-star quarterback Bryson Beaver entered the transfer portal after signing and landed with the Georgia Bulldogs, but it was still easily one of the best classes that the Ducks have brought in in program history.

On Tuesday, Rivals put a bow on the 2026 recruiting class, releasing their final rankings. While it doesn’t mean a whole lot in reality, as football season has been finished for over a month, there were some interesting notes from Rivals’ final list regarding future Ducks.

For starters, eight players stayed in the exact spot that they had been in. That group is headlined by edge rusher Tony Cumberland (No. 41) and safety Jett Washington (No. 114).

The group that went down is interesting, as safety Davon Benjamin saw his ranking plummet from 49th to 117th. Benjamin, along with other highly-talented recruits in tight end Kendre Harrison (43rd to 69th) edge rusher Anthony “Tank” Jones (65th to 82nd) and wide receiver Messiah Hampton (30th to 51st) are seen as possible contributors as true freshman.

The reason for the massive drop for Benjamin and lesser drops of Harrison, Jones and Hampton is unknown, and while it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day, it simply provides more motivation for this quartet of future Ducks.

Meanwhile, six Oregon signees went up in the rankings.

The player that enjoyed the biggest leap was running back Brandon Smith, a late addition to Oregon’s 2026 class. He went from No. 212 to No. 162. Offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho went from No. 45 to No. 21 as well.

Safety Xavier Lherisse also enjoyed one of the biggest leaps in the entire rankings, as he went from being unranked to No. 197. Cornerback Azel Banag was another player who was unranked but finished at No. 208.

Of the 21 recruits for the Ducks in Rivals’ system, seven went down, six went up and eight remained the same.
