It was another win for the Ohio State football team, this time on the road vs. a Purdue team that’s still trying to build for the future. The defense was suffocating again, and the offense seemed to take the opportunity to work on some things, then stepped on the gas when it needed to on the way to a 34-10 victory.

Purdue head coach Barry Odom met with the media after the loss to discuss what he saw from his team, field questions about Ohio State, and offer up his own compliments on the Buckeyes.

A lot of coaches have heaped praise on the Buckeyes after playing them up close and personal, and it was no different from Odom, who called Ohio State “the standard” that his program is chasing. That wasn’t all, though. Odom also complimented how well coached and disciplined OSU’s defense is, and more.

We have Odom’s full press conference thanks to the PurdueSports YouTube channel.

The win improves Ohio State’s overall record to 9-0 and its Big Ten mark to 6-0 as it now turns the page to host UCLA next Saturday. We’ll have more reflection on this game and what’s ahead with the Bruins coming to town.
