Ohio State's 4-Star WR Bodpegn Miller Transfers to Washington After Freshman Season

The Ohio State Buckeyes’ offseason turnover at wide receiver continued this week with another former four-star recruit heading out the door.

Ohio State has seen multiple pass-catchers depart this cycle, including former five-star recruit Mylan Graham and former four-star prospects Quincy Porter and Bryson Rodgers leave through the transfer portal.

On top of those three losses, standout wideout Carnell Tate declared for the 2026 NFL Draft after finishing his junior season with the Buckeyes.

Now, Bodpegn Miller has become the latest to exit the program, committing to a fellow Big Ten school in the Washington Huskies, according to On3.

Miller was a four-star recruit in the 2025 class out of Ontario High School in Mansfield, Ohio. He ranked as the No. 8 overall recruit in the state and as the No. 11 athlete overall — he played both quarterback and receiver in high school — in the 247Sports Composite ranks.

Despite the pedigree, Miller did not record a reception during his true freshman season in Columbus. He entered the transfer portal in early January after just one year with the Buckeyes, in which he didn’t appear in any game, ultimately redshirting.

On Wednesday, On3 confirmed that Miller signed with the Huskies, joining Washington head coach Jedd Fisch and linking up with quarterback Demond Williams Jr. after the latter confirmed his return to Washington.

This move adds one more challenge to Ryan Day’s staff in planning for their 2026 season and beyond. In total, 32 Ohio State players have entered the portal this cycle, including multiple five-stars and several skill-position contributors, while only 17 have been added.

The Buckeyes have added two receivers in UTSA Roadrunners transfer Devin McCuin and LSU Tigers transfer Kyle Parker, but the losses clearly outweigh those two additions, even though Ohio State still has rising junior wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, the No. 1 player in the nation entering the 2026 college football season, and Chris Henry Jr., the nation’s No. 1-ranked receiver recruit.

The Huskies, meanwhile, will try to improve on a positive 9-4 season in which Washington improved from the six wins earned under Fisch during his first year at the helm of the program.
