Alabama tight end Josh Cuevas is one-of-multiple Crimson Tide players this week at the Senior Bowl.

Cuevas played a key role on the Tide's offense in 2025, as the playmaker recorded 411 yards and four touchdowns on 37 receptions. Cuevas transferred to Alabama from Washington following the 2023 campaign, as the playmaker thrived as one of the Tide's top tight ends over the past two seasons.

The talented route runner could quickly become an excellent pick for any team that choses to select him in this year's NFL draft, as Cuevas will now turn his full attention towards the Senior Bowl.

Recently, Cuevas also did an interview with On3's Andy Staples at the Senior Bowl, and in this, was able to share his thoughts as to how Alabama could succeed in 2026, with the Crimson Tide star saying communication will be an X-factor.

"We have a whole bunch of younger guys kind of going in." Cuevas stated. "I can tell you right now, our communication is kind of up front, whether it be the offensive line, tight ends, stuff like that, like protection checks and stuff from the quarterback. That can get tremendously better. I think we had a little bit of trouble handling pressure and blitzes and stuff from defenses all year. So I think the communication part absolutely just needs to get better.

"We have a whole bunch of younger guys, but coach DeBoer is so good at buying into those younger guys, and taking them under his wing, and just kind of sitting them down every single time, support staff around them, and telling everybody this is what you need to work on. He's coached national championship teams. He's capable of doing it, and doing it at a high level."

Cuevas was targeted on a regular basis throughout the 2025 campaign. Alabama went 11-4 over 15 games played last season, as the Tide will have a multitude of new faces on both sides of the football in 2026, with tight end one of the key positions featuring new faces.

Alabama will begin the 2026 season against East Carolina on Sept. 5.
