He is just a junior and it is just an offer, but the Cincinnati Bearcats football squad has offered the son of former Cincinnati Bengals first-round pick David Pollack.
Nicholas Pollack is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound tight end and outside linebacker for North Oconee High School in Bogart, Georgia, near Athens. He is a junior with a listed vertical leap of 36 inches and a 10-foot broad jump.
His father, recently of ESPN's College GameDay and host of the "See Ball Get Ball" podcast, has publicized his son's talents and also coaches the North Oconee defensive line.
Nick Pollack is also a basketball and baseball player at North Oconee. He was also offered by Wake Forest on the same day as the Bearcats' offer. UC tight end coach Josh Stepp made the offer and also offered North Oconee defensive back and wide receiver Kelvin Millington, a 6-foot-4, 180-pound junior with a 37-inch vertical.
David Pollack playing career
Pollack had 4.5 sacks and 28 total tackles in 2005 for the Bengals, then in the second game of 2006 suffered a career-ending neck injury. He officially retired in 2008 after briefly contemplating a comeback. Pollack was on ESPN's College GameDay from 2011-2023. He was on UC's campus when the show came to Cincinnati in 2021 for the Bearcats home game with Tulsa.
David Pollack was a three-time All-American at Georgia, playing defensive end at 6-foot-2, 265 pounds. He was the Bengals first-round draft pick in 2005. He was the SEC Player of the Year for the Bulldogs in 2002 and 2004, SEC Defensive Player of the Year in 2004, the Chuck Bednarik Award winner in 2004 and won the Lombardi Award, the Ted Hendricks Award twice and the Lott Trophy.
Nicholas Pollack doesn't yet have a rating among the recruiting sites, but totes some pretty solid DNA and some Hudl highlights.
With a season to go, there could be a size increase and more eyeballs on him, and in recent photos, he stands taller than his father, who was a College Football Hall of Fame inductee.
