Michigan State football has reportedly poached another assistant coach away from rival Notre Dame.

BlueandGold.com is reporting that Michigan State has hired away Fighting Irish assistant wide receivers coach Dom Spalding for the same position with the Spartans. Spalding will reportedly follow his brother, Devon Spalding, who was recently hired by the Spartans as their running backs coach — coming from Wisconsin.

Dom Spalding joined the Notre Dame staff last February as an assistant wide receivers coach, coming from Northwestern. Dom Spalding is originally from Canton, Mich., and started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Cincinnati.

Michigan State made a splashy move earlier in the coaching carousel when they poached away former Spartans legend and linebackers coach Max Bullough from Notre Dame. Bullough will now be joined on the Michigan State staff by a former fellow Fighting Irish staff member in Dom Spalding.
