Top 25 Predictions: What the AP Poll Will Look Like After Week 11

It seemed like half of the teams in the top 25 were on the ropes at one point or another on Saturday.
Some, like Indiana, found a way to rally. Others, such as Virginia, could not get off the mat The final tally from Week 11 saw six ranked teams go down, including previously undefeated No. 8 BYU. No. 9 Texas Tech trounced the Cougars, 29-7, affirming their spot as the premier team in the Big 12.
Much of the madness occurred in the ACC, where the No. 12 Cavaliers lost 16-9 to Wake Forest and were held out of the end zone entirely at home. Cal also upset No. 14 Louisville, 29-26, in overtime. The big winner of the day was No. 18 Miami, which blew out Syracuse 38-10 and gained ground in the fight to advance to the conference championship.
The Big Ten also had its fair share of theatrics, as the No. 2 Hoosiers escaped an upset to Penn State by a toe — literally. Indiana needed a touchdown late to pick up its first win in Happy Valley and continue its undefeated season. Fernando Mendoza answered the call, marching his team downfield and capping off the scoring drive by hitting Omar Cooper Jr. in the back of the end zone for an acrobatic grab. No. 6 Oregon also eked out an 18-16 win in a downpour at Iowa on a walk-off field goal.
The results in the SEC were largely chalk, as No. 3 Texas A&M routed No. 22 Missouri, 38-17. No. 4 Alabama also dispatched LSU, 20-9. In the American, Tulane upset No. 22 Memphis, 38-32, while South Florida blew out the same UTSA team that took down the Green Wave two weeks ago.
Don’t expect much movement up high in the next AP poll, but as many as three new teams could be set to enter the rankings come Sunday. Here’s Athlon Sports’ AP Top 25 projection after Week 11.
