The Oklahoma Soonershave been heavily pursuing three-star prospect Jamison Roberts as their top priority at the quarterback position in the 2027 recruiting class, and it looks like the signal-caller will be headed to Norman for a visit next month.

Roberts announced on social media that he’ll be on campus on March 7th for OU’s Future Freaks event, continuing a trend that shows the Sooners are very interested in the 6-foot-3, 190-pound passer. Roberts received a visit from Oklahoma offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Ben Arbuckle back in January, and has reportedly “felt the love” from the Sooners.

Hailing from Saraland (Alabama) High School, Roberts has already been to OU, but now he’ll be heading back to Norman for a second time. He is the No. 52 quarterback in the ’27 class, according to On3, and the No. 22 player in the state of Alabama in their rankings.

Roberts is one of five quarterbacks that have received an offer from Oklahoma in the 2027 class. Nebraska commit Trae Taylor hasn’t received much interest from OU since Arbuckle took the reins of the offense, but Arbuckle pursued LSU commit Peyton Houston hard, before losing out on him to the Tigers.

As far as uncommitted prospects go, both Jonathan Moore and Greydon Howell have also received offers from the Sooners, but OU may have designs of them playing different positions (defensive back and wide receiver, respectively) and the college level. Dane Weber took a visit to OU when the Sooners beat Missouri in November, but he has set to receive an offer from Oklahoma.

That leaves Roberts as the clear top priority for Arbuckle and the Sooners at QB in 2027. He’ll be joining a plethora of his potential future teammates in Norman in March, as Oklahoma looks to continue to impress the young QB in the months before his signing day.

The current quarterback room at OU consists of returning starter John Mateer, backups Whitt Newbauer and Jett Niu, and incoming true freshman Bowe Bentley.
