MANHATTAN — Kansas State football is set to sign two additional players during the February signing period that begins Wednesday, Feb. 4.
New coach Collin Klein landed a pair of offensive weapons, beating out Oklahoma for one of them and grabbing an in-state four-star tight end.
The two will join the 20 players who signed with the Wildcats during December’s early signing period, along with the 27 transfer portal players K-State has landed over the last month.
Here are Kansas State‘s new high school signees.
Julius Wilson, WR, Owasso (Oklahoma)
The 6-foot-4 wide receiver was previously committed to Oklahoma State but backed out after the firing of Mike Gundy and hiring of former North Texas coach Chad Morris.
The Owasso, Oklahoma, native is graded as a three-star receiver out of Owasso High School, who also held offers from Texas Tech, Tulsa, UAB and Towson at one point. He will be the third high school receiver to sign with the Wildcats, joining Kaprice Keith and Maxwell Lovett.
Wilson finished his senior season as an all-district receiver, totaling 52 receptions, 907 yards and 12 touchdowns, averaging 17 yards per catch.
Arley Morrell, TE, Pratt
The Pratt three-star prospect will join the Wildcats after previously committing to play at Iowa State. After Matt Campbell left for Penn State, Morrell was released from his signing. He also heard from Auburn and Missouri before committing to the Wildcats.
Morell had 36 catches for 504 yards and seven touchdowns this past season, and also had 46 carries for 206 yards. He was recently ranked as a four-star recruit by Rivals.
