SEC football standings after favorites dominate Week 11 action

The SEC's top college football teams held serve in Week 11 with Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama and Texas A&M all winning. The SEC championship race is heating up with only a few weeks left. If the season ended today, Alabama and Texas A&M would play in the SEC game in Atlanta, but there's still a lot of football left.

Currently, seven SEC teams remain in realistic College Football Playoff contention. Georgia, Ole Miss, Alabama, Texas A&M, Texas, Vanderbilt and Oklahoma all have two losses or less this season. The SEC only had four teams projected to make the College Football Playoff entering Week 11 action. More SEC teams are just outside the mix to make the playoff with a few teams facing elimination games in the upcoming weeks.

In Week 11, Georgia toppled Mississippi State on the road, Ole Miss took care of business against The Citadel, Alabama beat LSU at home, Texas A&M dominated Missouri and Vanderbilt needed overtime to beat Auburn. Oh, and don't forget that Florida lost to Kentucky 38-7 to further reinforce how far Florida has fallen among the SEC.
