FAYETTEVILLE — National Signing Day has a different feel in recent years, with less drama surrounding the first Wednesday in February.
Arkansas football is not expected to add to its high school recruiting class today after signing 18 prospects during the early window in December. The Razorbacks also added Fayetteville High School quarterback Hank Hendrix in January, with the four-star prospect reclassifying from the 2027 class into 2026.
Ryan Silverfield’s first recruiting cycle with Arkansas focused on in-state talent and beefing up the line of scrimmage. Seven of the 18 high school commits play either offensive or defensive line.
A big portion of the Hogs’ 2026 roster will be transfers after Silverfield added 40 players through the January portal. Barring any last-minute surprises, Arkansas‘ roster management is finished for the current offseason.
Where does Arkansas football’s recruiting class rank?
The Razorbacks have the 49th-best high school recruiting class in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite. They were ranked in the 60s prior to Silverfield’s hiring.
The Hogs are 15th in the SEC, only ahead of Kentucky.
Arkansas football recruiting class top commits
The top-ranked commit is Cross Country defensive lineman Danny Beale, who committed to the Razorbacks in December.
Beale is the top player in the state of Arkansas, the No. 18 defensive lineman in the country and the 173rd-ranked player overall. Committed to Oklahoma State over the summer, the four-star backed off that pledge following the Cowboys’ firing of Mike Gundy. He also had scholarship offers from SEC rivals like Missouri, Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Georgia.
Running back Trey Hodges (Bryant), wide receiver Dequane Prevo (Bentonville), quarterback Hank Hendrix (Fayetteville) and defensive lineman Anthony Kennedy Jr. (Little Rock Central) round out the top-five players in the Arkansas class.
