Florida State football has landed a local product to join Mike Norvell’s 2026 class. Godby’s linebacker Trent Rogers announced on X page that he committed to the Seminoles on the day of national signing day.

The senior middle linebacker was one of the Cougars’ top tacklers all of last season.

At 6-foot-3, 215 pounds, he produced 80 total tackles, 10 TFLs and a forced fumble.

He was named an All-Big Bend honorable mention for his production.

Rogers is one of the local players who will be playing for the Seminoles. He will join Gadsden County’s Jakobe Green and Daylen Green as they both signed their letter of intent during the early signing period.

Godby finished 5-7 in Rogers’ final year.
