Here are 337-area athletes who have signed NLIs on National Signing Day

The time to take the next step in a given sport happens Feb. 4 for National Signing Day. Signing their names on the dotted line of a National Letter of Intent is a special day, especially in the 337.

At the early signing day period for high school football, 11 area athletes signed and for non-football sports, another seven signed their NLI to take their talents to the next level. No matter the sport, athletes are eager to showcase all the talent hailing from the 337.

With signing day events happening across the area, here is a roundup of area student-athletes who have signed letters of intent to play at the NCAA Division I, Division II, Division III, NAIA and junior college levels on National Signing Day.

Editor’s note: If you know of any other student-athletes from Lafayette, Acadiana, St. Landry, Vermilion, St. Martin and Iberia parishes who have signed a letter of intent on National Signing Day on Feb. 4 and are not on this list, contact sports reporter Shannon Belt at sbelt@gannett.comwith their information.
