Alabama Football didn’t waste time addressing one of its biggest areas of emphasis this offseason. On Wednesday morning, Alabama Crimson Tide officially announced the addition of Adrian Klemm to Kalen DeBoer’s coaching staff, and it’s a move that sends a clear message about where this program is headed back to physical, detailed, no-excuses football in the trenches.

DeBoer made it clear why Klemm stood out during the search process.

“Adrian Klemm has a reputation for recruiting and developing players at every level, having worked with some of the top offensive lines in his 15-plus years coaching,” DeBoer said. “He has a deep knowledge and passion for the game, and I know that he will be able to have an immediate impact on our program. We look forward to having him on staff.”

That reputation is well-earned.

Klemm arrives in Tuscaloosa with an extensive résumé that spans both college football and the NFL. Most recently, he spent the 2025 season at USC Trojans, but his track record includes successful stops at Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, and SMU Mustangs, along with time in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers.

One season at Oregon alone tells the story. In 2022, the Ducks allowed just five sacks across 13 games, fewest in the entire FBS, while ranking among the nation’s best offenses across nearly every major category.

That unit produced All-Americans, NFL draft picks, and a physical identity that consistently showed up on Saturdays.

At the NFL level, Klemm coached offensive lines that protected quarterbacks, opened running lanes, and played winning football. During his time with the Steelers, he helped pave the way for Najee Harris’ 1,200-yard rookie season and coached a line that allowed the fewest sacks in the league in 2020.

For Klemm, the move to Alabama is about more than just another stop.

“I am incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity to join Coach DeBoer’s staff at The University of Alabama,” Klemm said. “The tradition, culture and championship standard in Tuscaloosa is second to none. I’m excited to get to work with our players and this staff, and it feels great to be a part of the Alabama family. Roll Tide!”

This hire isn’t about flash.

It’s about substance. I

t’s about restoring dominance up front, developing talent, and recruiting at an elite level.

Alabama Football has always been built in the trenches, and with Adrian Klemm now in Tuscaloosa, it’s clear that foundation is being reinforced the right way.

Roll Tide.
