Where did former Ohio State football players land in transfer portal?

Nearly all of the Ohio State players who entered the transfer portal in January have found landing spots.

A sizable chunk remained in the Big Ten.

Nine left for other schools in the league, the Buckeyes‘ most intraconference transfers in an offseason since the advent of the portal.

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Lincoln Kienholz (3) hands off to running back James Peoples (20) during the NCAA football game against the Purdue Boilermakers at Ross-Ade Stadium in West Lafayette, Ind. on Nov. 8, 2025. Ohio State won 34-10.

West Coast schools were the most popular destinations as UCLA picked up defensive tackle Maxwell Roy and safety Malik Hartford, and Washington added wide receiver Bodpegn Miller and defensive end Logan George.

Iowa, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State and Wisconsin each landed an Ohio State transfer.

The Buckeyes had never seen more than three players transfer within the Big Ten in a single offseason until 2026.

All but seven of their 30 outgoing scholarship players left for other power conference schools or Notre Dame.

Here is the full look at where Ohio State’s former scholarship players ended up this offseason.
