The Nebraska football team received votes in the latest edition of the US LBM Coaches Poll.
Nebraska received six points in this week's poll. Ohio State remains at the top of the poll, with five Big Ten teams represented in the top 25. No. 23 Memphis and No. 24 Iowa fell out of the top 25.
The Cornhuskers' last appearance in the US LBM Coaches Poll was week four of the 2024 season, when they were 3-0 and ranked No. 22 in the nation. They would quickly fall out of the top 25 after losing to Illinois.
The US LBM Coaches Poll is conducted weekly throughout the regular season using a panel of head coaches at Football Bowl Subdivision schools. The panel is chosen by random draw, conference by conference, plus independents, from a pool of coaches who have indicated their willingness to participate in the American Football Coaches Association.
Head coach Matt Rhule is a member of the US LBM Board of Coaches for the 2025 season and will participate as a voter this year.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers (7-3, 4-3) retake the field on Saturday, Nov. 22, when they travel to Pennsylvania to face the Penn State Nittany Lions (3-6, 0-6) in Happy Valley. The kickoff time and TV network have not yet been determined.
