Texas A&M stays put in the AP Top 25 after the Week 11

There was little movement in the top ten, but there were some College Football Playoff eliminations by the time the day was over. The top three remained unchanged, although Texas A&M did receive a few first-place votes. Unless there is a loss during the regular season, I don’t see A&M overtaking one of the two top spots.
The Aggies did what they needed to do to keep their name in the conversation as a top-four CFP team and earned themselves a first-round bye. While their CFP bid is nearly guaranteed at this point, there is still a battle to determine who will make it to the SEC title game in Atlanta.
To be safe, A&M needs to win out to secure its spot as one of those two teams. They have been playing complementary football, and at this point in the season, while there are still areas for improvement, I believe they are who they are.
Most of the movement was minimal, with the most significant shift being Virginia dropping eight spots to No. 20. Texas jumped back into the top ten after Texas Tech beat BYU. As expected, A&M’s win over Missouri knocked Missouri out of the rankings and the CFP.
