Where Oregon Ducks' offense ranks nationally in key stats following Week 11

With rain falling, a physical, stingy defense across from them and a slew of injuries plaguing that side of the football, the Oregon Ducks‘ offense did just enough to escape with an 18-16 victory over the Iowa Hawkeyes. The win extends their College Football Playoff hopes and bolsters their resume, as Iowa was ranked No. 20 in the debut CFP poll.

In the wake of several injuries, tight end Jamari Johnson stepped up to lead the team with four catches for 36 yards. Quarterback Dante Moore was extremely clutch on the final, game-winning drive. His deep pass to wide receiver Malik Benson was one of his best throws all season long — right when the Ducks needed it most.

But it was Oregon’s dominance at the line of scrimmage that stood out the most.

The Ducks totaled 261 yards on the ground, the most that Iowa has given up in years. Noah Whittington led the way, carrying the ball 17 times for 118 yards. His repeated hits on Hawkeyes defenders led to increased gains in the second half, as the Iowa defense was battered and beaten by the fourth quarter.

Let’s take a look at where the Ducks’ offense ranks nationally in key stats after their thrilling victory in Week 11.
