Fans surprised after "College GameDay" snubs SEC football

ESPN's "College GameDay" passed over the No. 10 Texas Longhorns at No. 5 Georgia Bulldogs game in Week 12. Instead, GameDay will head to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Pittsburgh Panthers game on Saturday, Nov. 15.

This Saturday will be GameDay's first trip to Pittsburgh in 20 years. GameDay had already attended a Georgia game this season, so it is understandable that they're mixing up the locations. For Georgia fans, they'll have to wait until the first round of the College Football Playoff to have a realistic chance at having GameDay in Athens again.

GameDay also passed over another SEC top-10 clash and won't be attending the No. 10 Oklahoma Sooners at No. 4 Alabama Crimson Tide game. Many college football fans were happy to see the SEC be passed over.

"College GameDay is going to a stadium that won’t even fill up," said one fan via social media. "Bad decision," said another fan. Countless other fans questioned GameDay's decision to skip the Georgia-Texas game, which is a rematch of the 2024 SEC championship.

"I feel like it’s disrespecting the fans by not going to the game of the week," another fan said. "Even if you have already been to that school."
