Lane Kiffin is still warming up to being in Louisiana.

The LSU Tigers coach got his first real taste of Mardi Gras and served as co-grand marshal of the Endymion Parade on Saturday. The lead up to Fat Tuesday was great in New Orleans.

Kiffin flipped his hat backwards and wore a retro Odell Beckham Jr. LSU jersey while tossing beads to the crowd. Before he was atop the float going towards the Superdome, he was noticeably awkward with the crowd gathered off Bourbon street. While taking pictures and signing autographs, Kiffin looks drained. It caught the attention of many online before going viral.

Nonetheless, the event seems to go off without a hitch. Kiffin did his best to bring some flavor to the event. He was featured earlier in the week as a float of his own. One of the most unique creations ever put on the street in Mardi Gras to say the least. Let's just say Kiffin looks similar to Britney Spears

Kiffin signed a seven-year, $91 million contract to become the head coach of LSU back in December. The deal pays him approximately $13 million annually and makes him one of the highest-paid coaches in college football. His biggest goal will be a national championship, and would automatically make his the top earning coach if that happen.

As of now, Kiffin seems to be settling into his role and emmercing the roots of NOLA's culture.
