ESPN's College Gameday is headed to Pittsburgh, here's what you need to know

ESPN announced on Sunday, November 9, that its flagship college football pregame show, College Gameday, will be headed to Pittsburgh and the North Shore as No. 24 Pitt takes on No. 10 Notre Dame at noon.

This is the third time that the Saturday pregame show has come to Pittsburgh, last appearing for a Panthers and Fighting Irish game back in 2005, when the show’s backdrop featured Pittsburgh’s three rivers, bridges and skyline.

While the Saturday pregame show is making its first stop in Pittsburgh in two decades, the program did its pregame show ahead of the 2022 edition of the Backyard Brawl, with Pitt winning the game 38-31 as former Pitt and Aliquippa defensive back MJ Devonshire took an interception back for a touchdown for the game’s deciding score late in the fourth quarter.

ESPN personality Pat McAfee talks during College GameDay as Nick Saban looks on, Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The broadcast of College Gameday will run from 9 a.m. to noon, which will lead into the start of the top 25 matchup between the schools.

The College Gameday cast features host Rece Davis, analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Pittsburgh native Pat McAfee, former Alabama head coach Nick Saban, college football insider Pete Thamel, reporters Jen Lada, Jess Simms and college football betting analyst ‘Stanford Steve’ Coughlin.

More information regarding the pregame show will be released throughout the week
