Well, that didn’t take long. The Ohio State football program has added another four-star talent to its 2026 class. After taking an official visit to see the Buckeyes in person two weeks ago, when the team hosted Penn State, Ohio State has successfully flipped Tennessee commit Legend Bey.
On3 recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong logged a crystal ball prediction for Bey to flip to the Buckeyes on Sunday. By Monday morning, the prediction came to fruition as Bey flipped his verbal commitment from Orange and White to Scarlet and Gray.
Bey is one of the most explosive players in the 2026 recruiting cycle, running a 4.33-second 40-yard dash. Currently playing quarterback at North Forney High School in Forney, TX, Bey is listed as an athlete. He will most likely move to receiver, although running back is a possibility as well. In his high school career, Bey has rushed for over 4,000 yards, passed for more than 3,500 yards, and accounted for triple-digit touchdowns. Those are some impressive numbers to say the least.
Why the change of heart? Bey said, “BIA (Best In America), I believe development is a big factor, and I want to be that.”

Bey becomes the fourth commit to flip to the Buckeyes in five days. It’s been quite the hot streak. Ohio State has the No. 7-rated class according to 247Sports as of now, but with the streak Ryan Day is on, there may be more on the horizon.
